Expedia Group is seeking a Principal AI Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with business units and enterprise functions, turning ambiguous AI challenges into measurable outcomes through rapid prototyping and scale-ready solutions.

You will coach senior engineers, partner with executives, and define a north-star AI technology vision while balancing speed, reliability, security, and cost across domains, travelers, and partners.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience (or 10+ with master's) and ownership of complex AI-enabled systems.
• Experience leading multi-team AI initiatives and coaching senior engineers.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts and production-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to identify AI opportunities and define measurable outcomes.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle from discovery to deployment and value realization.
• Define architecture, data contracts, and observability across AI systems.
• Mentor engineers and promote responsible AI practices.
