Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Principal AI Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with business units across the enterprise. You will translate complex challenges into measurable AI outcomes, prototype and productionize AI solutions, and drive adoption and value realization across teams.

You will set a north star for AI capabilities, design scalable architectures, and lead a team of engineers and senior ICs to extend best practices and standards across Expedia Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with extensive software engineering experience.
• Experience owning complex systems across a business unit and cross‑domain integrations.
• Hands‑on in AI‑enabled systems, platforms, or workflows and practical AI concepts.
• Ability to translate ambiguous needs into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Discover high‑value AI opportunities with business units and define measurable outcomes.
• Lead engagements from discovery to delivery, adoption, and value realization.
• Own full lifecycle of AI initiatives: from prototype to production deployment.
• Define success metrics and communicate impact across adoption, cost, and ROI.
• Develop engineers and emerging leaders to extend engineering practices.
