Collins Aerospace seeks a talented Artificial Intelligence and Automation Engineer to drive engineering efficiency by leveraging AI and automation across a broad set of workflows. You will lead efforts to identify tasks to optimize with AI, build tools, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years experience or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years experience.
• Experience building internal AI developer tools or platforms tailored to safety-critical domains.
• Proficiency with GenAI implementation patterns including RAG, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and constraints for regulated environments.
• Hands-on LLMOps with evaluation metric platforms (MLflow or equivalents) for experiment tracking, monitoring, tracing, and reproducible evaluation in regulated environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python or C/C++.

• Develop, implement, and maintain AI and automation tools to enhance engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to understand requirements and provide scalable solutions.
• Analyze workflows and data to identify inefficiencies and deliver high-precision, fast, productive outcomes.
• Stay current with AI/ML/automation advancements to keep solutions cutting-edge.
• Design and run proof-of-concept projects to validate AI and automation strategies.
• Ensure all solutions comply with Collins Aerospace and RTX standards, including security and performance.
• Provide training and documentation to teams for adoption of new tools and workflows.
• Continuously monitor and refine existing tools to improve performance.
