Job summary
Collins Aerospace is seeking an Automation Engineer to design scalable, production-ready intelligent automation solutions and mentor teams across Digital Technology. You will bridge PoCs to enterprise deployments, collaborate with global teams, and develop APIs, integrations, and reusable automation components.
The role emphasizes DevOps, CI/CD, and robust production readiness, with a hybrid work model at a major Collins facility in the U.S.
Qualifications
- University degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Strong software development skills and experience with APIs, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with DevOps, source control, testing and deployment automation.
Responsibilities
- Engineer scalable, reliable, production-ready intelligent automation solutions.
- Bridge proofs of concept and MVPs with enterprise implementation.
- Provide technical mentorship to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the India Automation Development team and other Digital Technology teams to enable delivery.
- Develop APIs, integrations and reusable automation components.
- Support CI/CD, testing, deployment, monitoring, logging and error handling.
- Coach colleagues on engineering practices and production readiness.
- Align with offshore teams on requirements, design and handoffs.
