Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, a premier members-only warehouse club, is seeking a meat department team member in Owings Mills, MD. The role involves trimming, cutting, and preparing various meats, while maintaining high sanitation standards and assisting customers with product selection.

Ideal candidates will have completion of a training program or apprenticeship and prior meat cutting experience. Excellent teamwork and adherence to safety procedures are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members with meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the meat department.
• Rotates and stocks meat, seafood, and cheese cases.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
