Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member in Maryland to receive, cut, wrap, and merchandize meats and deli items, ensuring sanitation and product quality. You’ll assist Members, prepare special cuts, and maintain pricing and displays in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and customer service, with opportunities for growth and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Eligible benefits and weekly pay support team members across departments.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to our Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood. Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards. Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
