Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Meat Cutter in Smithville, NC to manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood according to The Fresh Market standards. You will assist with department inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, and other operational processes requiring meticulous attention to detail to deliver an impeccable experience for guests and team members.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items and assist guests across departments
• Handle, slice, cut and trim prime meat and seafood products while maintaining quality
• Monitor case temperatures, spills, and storage areas to ensure safety and freshness
• Ensure department adherence to safety requirements, policies and laws
