Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club Rotterdam, NY is seeking a Meat Cutter (Full Time) to receive, cut, wrap, and merchandize fresh and pre-packaged meats, poultry, and seafood, ensuring quality and accuracy. You will follow safety and sanitation standards, rotate stock by expiration dates, and assist in other deli areas as needed.

Prior meat-cutting experience and completion of a training/apprenticeship are required; 18+ years old.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Receives, rotates, cuts, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats.
• Assists in merchandising of seafood, prepared foods, cheeses and deli areas.
• Cuts, weighs, wraps, and labels meat, poultry, and seafood to standards.
• Maintains inventory levels and ensures proper case displays.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, displays, and areas in the meat department.
• Receives and inspects meat deliveries and maintains sanitation standards.
