Job summary

Austin Commercial, a leading construction firm, seeks a Prime Contracts Manager for its Phoenix, AZ division. The role oversees prime contract administration, leads notices, maintains logs, and coordinates with project teams to ensure compliant, timely deliverables.

This is an opportunity to contribute to major commercial projects within a 100% employee-owned company. The candidate will have the JD, 5+ years in post-award contract administration in construction, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required and active bar admission.
• At least 5 years of post-award contract administration in construction.
• Strong written and oral communication and people management skills.
• Ability to work independently, efficiently on multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in standard MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and management of prime contract action plan/matrix for compliance.
• Prepare notices and related follow-up documentation to Owner for issuance by Project Director.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and subcontractors for data supporting prime contracts.
• Attend meetings and publish minutes; ensure timely action items.
• Assist with progress reports, RFIs, PCO logs, and input from team members.
• Assist with change orders and prime contract flowdown provisions in subcontracts.
