Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to oversee daily operations of a busy primary care practice and champion excellent patient service for families and visitors.

You will plan schedules, supervise more than seven staff, coordinate coverage for absences, and help drive efficient workflows while supporting clinicians and staff with billing and referrals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years related work experience and 1–3 years supervisory/management experience.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of a primary care practice, ensuring service standards.
• Plans, organizes and assigns work schedules for support staff and coordinators.
• Manages revenue cycle tasks, billing support, referrals and visit coordination.
• Produces weekly revenue reports and monitors performance metrics.
