Job summary

Optum is seeking a physician to provide outpatient care within an integrated, value-based model. You will conduct consultations, follow‑ups, well‑checks, and screenings for adults and seniors, supported by a dedicated nursing team.

The role emphasizes high-quality care, collaboration, and ongoing professional development. Qualified candidates hold an MD/DO with residency in Family or Internal Medicine, California licensure, and active DEA.

• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, or Board Eligible for residents.
• Active and unrestricted California Medical License or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Current California DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start.

• Manage patient care in an outpatient setting.

• Care for adults and seniors, with dedicated support staff of nurses and medical assistants.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.)
• Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, or Board Eligible for medical residents
• Active and unrestricted California Medical License or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current California DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain prior to start

For California Residents Only: The salary range for California residents is $260,000-$360,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement.
