Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and excellent guest experiences, acting as both receptionist and clinical support.

The role requires 1 year of MA experience in primary care, MA program graduation, and CPR/BLS certification, with phlebotomy experience preferred.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Escort patients to room, ensure exam rooms are stocked and cleaned.
• Review previous medical information and gather updated health information.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per order from Provider.
• Develop patient care plans with the care team and address care gaps.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical records requests, documentation, referrals.
• Record data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
• Engage patients to drive participation among eligible groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
