Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team and support a primary care physician in delivering high-quality patient care and a great guest experience. The Medical Assistant will serve as both a front-desk liaison and a clinical support, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, graduation from an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification at start date. Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred or required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties including scheduling, records requests, and coordinating referrals.
