Qualifications

• High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Act 34 background clearance, Act 33, Act 73 clearances are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vitals, patient history, tobacco and medication screening, and document in the EHR.
• Perform back office testing per AHN protocols and support examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with additional training.
• Provide patient follow up via telephone, electronic, or written methods as directed.
• Maintain exam rooms and inventory; ensure supplies and sterile instruments.
