Job summary

Marana Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Consultant to join the Behavioral Health team at the Marana Main Health Center in Marana, AZ. The BHC collaborates with the medical team to deliver brief, targeted interventions for patients identified by the PCP during visits, focusing on health outcomes rather than ongoing therapy.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a related field, is licensed as an independent practitioner in AZ, and has experience in individual, group, or family

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social services, counseling, or related field.
• Licensed as an independent practitioner with AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist)
• 3 years’ professional experience conducting individual, group and/or family therapy or special focus groups
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals certification
• Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
• Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by MH)
• Experience working in a primary care/medical environment (preferred)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide brief, targeted interventions within the primary care setting.
• Collaborate with PCPs and the medical team to address behavioral health needs.
• Conduct patient assessments, treatment planning, and brief follow-ups.
• Support the Integration Program and assist with program operations and profitability.
• Offer appropriate referrals and coordinate care with community resources.
