Kin Insurance is seeking an entry-level Pricing & Risk Analyst to support state-by-state growth and segmentation. You will transform policy, quote, and claims data into actionable pricing insights using Databricks Genie and Claude Code.

You’ll learn insurance metrics, pricing, segmentation, and state performance, working with state managers and partners to drive profitability in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience; internships, coursework, and analytical projects count.
• Foundational SQL skills and proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
• Interest in AI-driven analytics and willingness to learn Claude Code, Databricks Genie, and MCP-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring state performance reporting on quote volume, conversion, new business, premium, retention, and loss experience.
• Analyze performance across geography, risk characteristics, coverage, and distribution to surface growth opportunities.
• Evaluate how rate changes and underwriting rules could impact growth and profitability.
• Build competitive research for state comparisons and pricing opportunities.
• Use Databricks Genie to explore data and Claude Code to write SQL queries and automate reports.
• Incorporate MCP-connected data and document sources and assumptions clearly.
• Deliver clear charts and concise summaries for Pricing and Risk teams with actionable recommendations.
• Measure performance after pricing and product changes go live.
