Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology in Columbus, NE seeks a Preventative Maintenance Technician on 1st Shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm) to support production through planned PM tasks and proactive equipment care.

You will coordinate downtime with production, document actions in the maintenance system, read mechanical drawings, and work with the supervisor to optimize PMs while following OSHA safety practices and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• 3–5 years PM maintenance technician experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.
• Ability to diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, calibration, and cleaning.
• Coordinate downtime with production to complete PM tasks.
• Input repair actions into the maintenance system as they occur.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform PMs.
• Maintain accurate spare parts inventory for PMs.
• Follow OSHA safety practices and use PPE as required.
