Job summary

BD in Columbus, NE is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize production equipment and facility systems, ensuring safe, reliable operations and alignment with BD quality standards.

You'll work with Controls Coordinators and Process Engineers on improvements, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose PLCs, and train operators while upholding safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Associate'egree in Electromechanical Technology or a related technical field required.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated production equipment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Support Controls Coordinators and Process Engineers with process improvements involving mechanical/electrical systems, controls programming, robotics, and machine vision.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment including pneumatics, motors, VFDs, and servo systems.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize reliability and performance.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair PLCs.
Maintain and repair robotic systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and maintain industrial networks.
Perform calibration and validation activities per standards.
Manage and maintain spare parts inventory.
Train operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Provide leadership and technical support to associates.
Respond to equipment issues outside normal hours on call.
Update Quality System documentation as required.
Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment to optimize performance.
