Job summary

BD in Columbus, NE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service electronic and mechanical equipment, read blueprints, and follow cGMPs. You will perform PMs, diagnose failures, manage parts inventory, and support engineering projects while coordinating with QA/RA and safety policies.

The role requires good English, willingness to work overtime, and on-site collaboration to keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree in a technical field preferred.
• In lieu of Associates Degree, two years technical experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• English reading/writing ability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnose causes and repair equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory.
• Assist with engineering projects—ordering and installation of new equipment and IQs.
• Continuous improvement projects to reduce expenses and improve reliability.
• Test circuits and understand measurement tools (oscilloscopes, meters).
• Modify and understand control panel wiring; work with PLC programs and ladder logic.
• Train operators and assist with machine set-ups/operation.
