Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals Research Products LLC in Columbia City is hiring a 1st Shift Preventive Maintenance Technician to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment, perform routine maintenance, and plan machine downtimes in an ISO 9000 environment. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with PM experience preferred, and basic math, reading and communication skills.

You’ll lift 50 lbs, work on lathes/mills, and enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule with paid trial period and benefits

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous experience in Preventive Maintenance or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in math, reading, writing, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment for signs of problems.
• Perform maintenance routines and plan machine downtimes.
• Evaluate equipment wear and schedule repairs.
• Change filters, belts and pulleys; calibrate Magpower units.
• Sustain part inventories and maintain ISO 9000 records.
