Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Certified Payroll Compliance Specialist to support certified payroll reporting for construction projects. You will work with Payroll, project teams, and compliance leadership to ensure labor records are accurate and deadlines are met.

The role requires experience with certified payroll, prevailing wage requirements, and ability to investigate discrepancies across multiple projects, including apprenticeship reporting and Inflation

Qualifications

• Experience preparing certified payroll reports and knowledge of prevailing wage requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with payroll or compliance reporting systems.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and communicate corrections clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports according to project requirements and reporting deadlines.
• Verify employee classifications, hours worked, wage rates, and fringe benefits against prevailing wage schedules.
• Reconcile certified payroll reports to payroll records and project labor data, researching discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Payroll and project teams to maintain accurate job assignments and labor classifications.
• Track reporting requirements and outstanding submissions across active projects.
• Review subcontractor certified payroll documentation for completeness and flag compliance issues.
