Job summary

Sinclair Manufacturing (dba PacAero Norton) seeks a hands‑on Press/Tool Room Manager to oversee daily press and tool room operations, lead the production team, and drive quality and continuous improvement in a 70‑person facility in Norton, MA. The role demands strong technical skills, supervision, and adherence to ISO9001, DFAR, and ITAR requirements.

The position is full‑time and on‑site, reporting to Operations Manager in the Press/Tool Room department, with responsibilities spanning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in press operations, metal stamping, tool room operations, or related manufacturing.
• At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience with training, coordination, or documentation.
• Technical or vocational coursework in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of press setup, operation, tooling, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate power presses and foot presses to support production requirements.
• Retrieve and inspect raw materials to ensure they meet job specifications.
• Produce First Articles and coordinate approvals with Quality Assurance; complete production travelers and documentation.
• Monitor material usage and inventory; ensure proper handling and scrap disposal.
• Provide hands‑on technical support to production areas as needed.
• Oversee tool maintenance, organization, and storage; document tool status.
• Lead department employees, schedule, train, and review performance; manage time‑off requests.
