Job summary

Sinclair Manufacturing (dba PacAero Norton) seeks an experienced Tool Maker to fabricate, assemble, and repair production tooling. You will set up tool room machinery, read engineering drawings, and ensure tooling meets specifications, supporting manufacturing operations.

The role requires hands-on tooling experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Onsite, full-time with standard Monday–Friday hours.

Job Details

PacAero Norton is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tool Maker to support our manufacturing operations through the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of production tooling. This hands-on position plays an important role in ensuring tooling meets specifications, equipment operates efficiently, and production teams have the support needed to maintain quality and productivity.

Schedule: Full-time, onsite, Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

Tool Fabrication & Machining

• Fabricate tooling used in manufacturing operations to produce parts in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set up and operate tool room machinery to support tooling fabrication and maintenance.
• Ensure tooling is accurately produced and meets required specifications.

Press Setup & Tool Maintenance

• Set up power presses with minimal supervision to support production requirements.
• Diagnose tooling issues and perform necessary repairs to existing tooling in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot tooling problems to help minimize production interruptions and maintain operational efficiency.

Production & Quality Support

• Provide technical and hands-on support to production areas as needed.
• Work collaboratively with production personnel to address tooling concerns and support manufacturing operations.
• Follow Sinclair's Quality Management System (QMS) requirements as they relate to tooling operations.
• Maintain accurate and consistent work practices to support product quality and manufacturing standards.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing-based position involving regular use of tooling, machinery, and production equipment.

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
