Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a dedicated press line operator helper to support set-up, feeding, and die-cutting on our presses. You will assist the operator, monitor board quality, and help maintain machine uptime while following proper setup techniques.

The role requires willingness to cross-train on other machines, work at the pace of the operator, and progress toward becoming an operator across shifts. High school diploma or GED is required, with a strong emphasis on safety and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow setup techniques accurately.
• Willingness to move up the line to operator position.
• Willingness to cross-train on other machines.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, feed, and die cut sections on machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Assist operator in other duties.
• Monitor board quality, reporting any quality problems to the operator and sorting as necessary to keep the machine running.
• Work at pace set by the machine operator.
• Cross-train on other machines as necessary.
• Be willing to move up the line of progression to operator regardless of shift.
• Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs; proactively maintain equipment.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
• Help operators adhere to production schedules and report scheduling issues to Supervisor.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
