Job summary

Primary Packaging Inc. is seeking a Press Helper to safely operate, set up, and maintain our printing press machines and to direct press assistants toward continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.

You will read and follow the daily press schedule, record activities on required documentation, setup jobs efficiently with minimal waste, and monitor print quality throughout runs. A high school diploma and willingness to work 12-hour shifts are required.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Quality-conscious and production-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to work without supervision and stay self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail and good written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the daily press schedule to meet production needs.
  • Legibly and accurately record activities on required documentation.
  • Set up each job efficiently and with minimal waste.
  • Read and understand orders and artwork.
  • Track setup, downtime, and run time on the production report and Radius.
  • Mark or flag all press stops, splices, and misprints during the run.
  • Monitor print quality throughout the run.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the press and surrounding area.
  • Report any mechanical issues encountered during the shift.
  • Take on other tasks or projects as required by manager.
