Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Machine Helper to support the Machine Operator and other helpers in running production machines. The role includes setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

The candidate will monitor quality, maximize equipment utilization, and train other workers while cross-training on additional machines. They will complete essential reports, assist with maintenance, and ensure safety and housekeeping standards are upheld.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (required).
6 months’ experience in some manufacturing operation preferred.
Prior packaging industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor quality.
Maximize equipment utilization by operating at available capacity and speed.
Train and assist First and Second Helpers with job duties on the machine.
Cross-train on other machines.
Complete reports such as Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
Submit maintenance work orders and assist with equipment upkeep.
Switch duties with First Helper as needed.
Follow company policies, safety rules, and maintain good housekeeping.
Adhere to production schedule and help optimize it to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
