Job summary

Express Employment of West Seneca has partnered with a Hamburg area fabrication company to fill an immediate need for a full-time Press Brake Operator. This is a first shift position with Monday-Thursday work, 5:00am–3:30pm or 6:00am–4:30pm and optional overtime.

Pay rate is $24-$27 per hour. Responsibilities include studying blueprints, setting the CNC press brake to project specifications, ensuring proper positioning and alignment, monitoring the pressing process, inspecting finished parts,

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and specification sheets.
• Ability to set and operate a CNC controlled press brake.
• Proficient measuring and quality inspection of sheet metal.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints and specification sheets to understand requirements.
• Set a computer-controlled press brake to project specifications.

• Full time, Shift, Monday-Thursday

• Troubleshooting and addressing problems that arise during the pressing process
• Performing routine maintenance on the press brake
• Complying with all health and safety standards in the manufacturing facility

Requirements for the Press Brake Operator Position include:

• In-depth understanding of the parts of a press brake and how the machine works
• Computer skills to operate CNC software
• Ability to remain upright and perform repetitive movements throughout most of a work shift
• Arithmetic skills to perform measurements and calculate settings
• Ability to move heavy or large pieces of sheet metal from one place to another
• Observation skills to monitor the pressing process and inspect metal after pressing
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for the manufacturing industry
• Familiarity with blueprints and the terminology used in technical specification sheets
