Job description

Pay: $40.00 – $55.00 per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute directly to the production of high-quality metal components used across various industries. Duties:

  • Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring accurate bending according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to produce precise parts
  • Adjust machine settings and tooling to achieve desired angles, dimensions, and surface finishes
  • Conduct routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure adherence to specifications and standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and assembly teams to meet production deadlines and quality goals
Qualification
  • Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and tooling setup
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations
  • Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, and welding is a plus
  • Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments confidently
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to crane operation, forklift handling, and machine operation in a manufacturing setting
  • Basic understanding of quality inspection standards and techniques for sheet metal parts
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments
