Job summary

Boon Edam Americas in North Carolina is seeking a skilled CNC technician to set up and operate laser and press brake equipment, read blueprints, and hit tight tolerances on sheet metal parts. You will inspect parts, document measurements, and hand off components to the next internal customer ready for assembly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is a plus.
• Blueprints literacy and precision measuring tools required.
• Experience setting up/operating CNC lasers and press brakes.
• Strong English communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and work safely with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser and press brake to hit tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints; verify with calipers, micrometers and tape measures.
• Inspect and document part quality; ensure conformance to drawings.
• Prepare components and hand off to internal customers for assembly.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety checks, and equipment maintenance.
