Job summary

Avalign seeks a hands‑on fabrication leader for the 2nd shift to guide a high‑mix team of operators, mentor staff, and ensure precise production per drawings and specs.

You will review orders, run regular checks, maintain a safe workspace, and collaborate with supervision to drive efficiency and quality. Experience in GD&T and blueprint reading is essential.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in a fabrication environment.
• Preferably college degree and prior leadership experience.
• Comfort with GD&T and blueprint reading; able to lead frontline teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction, training, and cross‑training to fabrication operators; plan, assign, and coordinate work to the schedule.
• Review work orders, operation sheets, part numbers, and drawings to ensure correct setup and execution.
• Conduct periodic in‑process checks for visual and dimensional conformity.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area; report and follow up on machine issues.
• Partner with the supervisor to drive teamwork, product accuracy, and adherence to procedures.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, performance appraisal, recognition, and coaching.
