Job summary

Boon Edam is seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist to translate drawings and programs into precise parts in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will load and run machines, inspect features per drawings, and help build fixtures to improve safety and repeatability. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years CNC experience, GibbsCAM, and a focus on accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate’s in CNC Machining is a plus.
• 3-5 years on CNC and manual machines; GibbsCAM experience preferred.
• Blueprint fluency; adept with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.
• Deep knowledge of workholding, tooling, and safe machining practices.
• Self-driven multitasker with clear, English communication and strong organization.
• Team player with a positive attitude; willing to work overtime as needed.
• Physically able to perform all duties and lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort navigating Windows.

• Full-spectrum metalworking: cutting, milling, turning, bending, polishing.
• Loading, initiating machine cycles, unloading, cleaning, and continuously inspecting parts.
• Fabricating part-holding fixtures to improve safety, quality, and repeatability.
• Material handling that prioritizes safety, product protection, and equipment care.
• Executing to schedule and supporting teammates through cross-training and mentoring.
• Performing and documenting quality inspections and required testing.
• User-level maintenance and impeccable housekeeping.

Is This You?

• Can you run 2-3 machines at the same time without breaking a sweat?
• Do you validate programs by running sample parts and inspecting features per drawings?
• Are you comfortable recalling/editing G-code and dialing in offsets to hit spec and takt?
• Do you know workholding and tooling inside out-and build fixtures when needed?
• Will you track inventory, record time/materials accurately, and keep a spotless, safe cell?

Schedule Options

• 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:20pm-2:50am
