Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing date, postage, and barcodes before production.
• Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes on mail and packages.
• Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machines.
• Monitor quality of mail and packages prior to processing and dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels and matching bin numbers on machines to tray numbers.
• Follow Quality Management Systems to ensure output quality by double checking details.
• Understand USPS labeling and preparation requirements for sorting mail.
• Ensure sorter and related equipment operate properly.
• Assist with inbound and outbound mail/package processing.
• Stay informed of acceptance times and truck deadlines.
• Ensure mail/packages meet SLAs with proper preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area to prevent hazards.
• Perform additional duties as required.
