Qualifications

• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Willing to work overtime, weekends or holidays with little notice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing date, postage, and barcodes.
• Communicate errors and identify bad barcodes in mail/packages.
• Troubleshoot and clear mail piece jams from machines.
• Monitor mail quality before processing and before dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels and bin/tray numbering for efficient sorting.
• Follow Quality Management System practices to ensure output quality.
• Ensure equipment is running and assist with inbound/outbound processing.
• Be aware of acceptance times and truck departure windows.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform other duties as required.
