Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, AZ is seeking a part-time paraeducator to assist under direct supervision of certified teachers and specialists in monitoring and instructing students with IEPs. Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire or pass the ParaPro Test
• 6 months experience with preschool children

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom work/homework under teacher direction and reinforce objectives
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom
• Monitor data related to academic and behavioral goals using district tools
• Modify curriculum to meet individual learning needs
• Implement behavior plans and support positive behavior interventions
• Assist with transitions across campus and supervision in various settings
• Perform general clerical tasks to support teachers and manage student files
• Assist with Medicaid billing in school programs (training provided)
