Responsibilities include delivering classroom work, assisting in materials, and supporting behavior plans while maintaining a safe, respectful learning environment throughout the school

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire.
• Pass the ParaPro Test provided by the district free of charge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, under teacher’s direction, classroom work/homework and reinforce objectives.
• Assist in development of instructional materials and maintenance of the classroom.
• Assist in data collection on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
• Assist with behavior plans for students with challenging behaviors.
• Transfer and/or lift non-ambulatory students to support daily activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene to support daily living activities.
• Accompany students during transitions across campus.
• Monitor groups to maintain safe learning environment.
• Perform general clerical tasks to support the teacher.
• Attend meetings to share information and improve skills.
• Support Mesa Public Schools as assigned.
