Miss Porter’s School seeks a compassionate early childhood professional to create a safe, nurturing preschool classroom environment. You will support development across physical, emotional, social, and cognitive domains through developmentally appropriate activities and structured routines.

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate curriculum, daily program execution, promoting healthy habits, and maintaining strong team collaboration.

Formación

• CPR & First Aid Certification required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• B.S. in Early Childhood Education preferred; Associate degree or a certificate in Early Childhood Education considered.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with young children.
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergencies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to relate to preschool-aged children respectfully.
• Ability to follow written and verbal multi-step instructions.
• Physically able to lift infants to preschoolers as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum including letters, numbers, shapes, and colors.
• Assist in developing daily early childhood education programs.
• Promote healthy habits (eating, hygiene, toileting).
• Support self-esteem, relationships, and respect for others in children.
• Encourage independence by guiding simple tasks.
• Provide activities like art, music, dance, story-time, and outdoor play.
• Maintain active supervision and safety at all times.
• Establish routines, structure, and behavioral expectations.
• Record daily observations using Brightwheel.
• Report accidents or concerns to the Director promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and assist with housekeeping.
• Collaborate with team for consistent care and classroom management.
• Assist with diapering, toilet training, and hygiene routines.
