Porter-Leath is seeking an Assistant Teacher to be the primary caregiver for a group of preschool children in our Memphis facility. You will implement developmentally appropriate activities, follow licensing standards, and support families through home visits and conferences.

The role requires working with the Education Specialist and Lead Teacher to provide leadership and a nurturing learning environment for children ages three to five, including children with special needs.

Qualifications

• Meet Preschool, NAEYC, CWLA, and Tennessee Day Care Licensing standards.
• Be primary caregiver for one group of children, including those with special needs.
• Plan daily enrichment and care activities for one classroom.
• Collaborate with Education Specialist and Lead Teacher.
• Assist with attendance records and meal counts for reporting.
• Support families with coordinated plans of care and home visits.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily supervision and care for a preschool group in line with standards.
• Develop and implement activities that support early childhood development.
• Maintain records of attendance, meal counts, and reports as required.
• Conduct regular home visits and parent conferences to support families.
• Work with staff to create a positive environment for children, families and teams.
