Job summary

Porter-Leath is seeking an experienced Teacher for our Early Head Start program to serve as the primary caregiver for a group of infants/toddlers. You will design and implement developmentally appropriate activities daily, aligning with Head Start, NAEYC, CWLA, and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or CDA with infant-toddler endorsement.
• Two years of relevant experience with infants/toddlers (0-3).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary caregiver for one group of children in Early Head Start.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities daily.
• Work with staff to provide health, education and family support services.
• Maintain attendance, meal counts and related records.
• Contribute to a positive classroom environment for children and families.
• Engage with parents through conferences, home visits and involvement activities.
