We are seeking a caring, creative, and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of young children. This teacher will collaborate with families and colleagues to ensure each child thrives and feels valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that support early learning and kindergarten readiness
- Foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn
- Observe and assess children’s developmental progress and communicate regularly with families
- Maintain a structured daily routine that balances play-based learning, exploration, and skill development
- Model positive behavior and teach social‑emotional skills
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and school policies
- Collaborate with assistant teachers, administrators, and support staff to provide high-quality care and instruction
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or state‑recognized 90‑Hour Preschool Certificate
- Experience working with preschool‑aged children in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and age‑appropriate practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Warm, patient, and energetic approach to working with young children and families
