Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Charlotte seeks a Presales Engineer to own presale opportunities and implement complex projects for public safety customers. You’ll collaborate with the Sales Team to define scope, deliver end-to-end solutions, and prepare bids while coordinating with product groups to meet timelines nationwide.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in sales or sales engineering (or 8+ years total), Land Mobile Radio experience preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of sales, sales engineering, or public safety experience.
• Or 8+ years of sales, sales engineering, or public safety experience.
• Land Mobile Radio (LMR) experience highly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sales Team to deliver customer-driven, world-class, end-to-end solutions across nationwide customers.
• Defines directions and requirements to ensure timely implementation and quality of the technical solutions.
• Provide engineering services for Customers, including commissioning and testing Motorola equipment per requirements and contracts.
• Preparation of system bids, considering customer needs and equipment availability, including product group modifications.
• Work with operations and other internal/external developers of networking products to meet delivery requirements and deadlines.
