Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Presales Engineer to manage presale opportunities and implement complex projects, from scope definition to close. Focus areas include public safety mobile networks, devices, LTE, and integrated command and control.

You will collaborate with sales to deliver end-to-end solutions for public safety, government, utility, transportation, and enterprise customers nationwide. The role requires 4+ years in sales or sales engineering in public safety, or 8+ years of equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of sales, sales engineering or public safety experience.
• OR 8+ years of sales, sales engineering or public safety experience.
• Land Mobile Radio (LMR) experience highly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Willingness to think outside the box and deliver results.
• Attention to detail and flawless execution mindset.
• Strong knowledge of wireless fundamentals and voice/data architectures (public/private).
• Knowledge of IP networking and related security is desirable.
• Knowledge of RF coverage predictions and related tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales Team to deliver customer-driven end-to-end solutions nationwide.
• Define directions and requirements for timely implementation and quality.
• Provide engineering services including commissioning and testing Motorola equipment.
• Prepare system bids considering customer needs and product availability.
• Collaborate with operations and other developers to meet delivery requirements and deadlines.
