Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks a Presales Application Engineer - Busway to drive technical evaluations, system layouts and design support for low‑voltage busway and busbar solutions in data centers and commercial facilities.

You will translate customer requirements into manufacturable, compliant designs, collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering and Manufacturing, and prepare submittals and diagrams for project success.

Qualifications

• Experience in selecting, sizing, configuring busway systems for various installation environments.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into manufacturable busway designs.
• Strong understanding of NEC, UL 857, NEMA, IEEE standards and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for busway system selection, sizing, and configuration.
• Develop busway layouts considering ampacity, voltage, and short‑circuit ratings.
• Ensure designs meet applicable standards and are manufacturable with available platforms.
• Prepare technical documentation including layouts, diagrams, schedules and submittals.
• Support sales with technical proposals and customer discussions.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to validate capability and lead times.
