Job summary

Vertiv in Atlanta, GA seeks a Presales Application Engineer for LV power distribution, including UL 1558/UL 891 switchgear and switchboards. You will support technical solution development, design validation, and coordination with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to meet customer specs.

You will create system layouts, conduct design reviews, and provide customer-focused technical input during proposals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering scalable, reliable power

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 2-5 years of experience in power distribution or electrical systems.
• Experience with power distribution equipment and relevant codes (ANSI, NEC, IEEE, IEC, UL, NEMA).
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in the selection and application of UL 1558, UL 891 and UL 67 products.
• Assist customers in the design and configuration of power distribution systems.
• Develop custom solutions based on customer requirements, considering efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product compatibility and performance.
• Partner with sales and engineering to review specifications and proposals, and provide technical input during the sales process.
• Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and technical reviews.
• Act as a liaison between the company and customers, resolving inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with delivered solutions.
• Conduct customer presentations, training, and site visits as needed.
• Prepare technical documentation, including system layouts, schematics, and equipment specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and project details.
• Provide feedback for the development of existing and future configuration tools.
