Job summary
Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Commercial Estimator to provide pre-sales technical expertise during the sales process for LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and busway. You will collaborate with sales and engineering to develop solutions, perform technical calculations, and support bid proposals.
The role involves applying the Quote Configurator, reviewing orders, and assisting in new product development while maintaining a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years commercial or relevant industrial experience preferred.
- Experience in technical scope review and formal proposal development preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing tailored solutions based on customer requirements and RFPs.
- Perform equipment selections and technical calculations for LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and busway.
- Apply Quote Configurator tool to provide comprehensive quote support.
- Assist in review of custom service orders and provide technical instruction through order workflow.
- Provide technical support to sales and customers.
- Analyze customer specs and apply appropriate products to meet needs and optimize profitability.
