Apicha Community Health Center seeks a PrEP Navigator to work at our 400 Broadway location in New York City. The role focuses on engaging HIV-positive individuals and those at high risk, providing navigation to PrEP/PEP, and promoting retention in care.

You will conduct outreach at high-risk venues, collaborate with the clinical team, and maintain accurate records in accordance with APICHA’s standards and reporting structures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of related work experience.
• Some college education with 1 year of related experience.
• Fluency in Spanish or one of Asian languages preferred.
• Appreciation of and commitment to Apicha’s mission and values.
• Ability to work effectively in both a collaborative as well as individual setting.
• Must complete Chief Medical Officer’s training to conduct rapid HIV testing within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct services to people at high risk for HIV infection under supervision.
• Conduct outreach and recruitment activities at HIV testing events and health fairs.
• Collaborates with the clinical team to coordinate care and services for the program’s clients.
• Work collaboratively with agency staff from various departments.
• Maintain accurate records on services and activities per APICHA’s standards and reporting structures.
• Collect, prepare, and report on services and activities completed timely.
• Participate in internal and external meetings as assigned.
• Other activities as assigned.
