Job summary

Suburban Inns in Michigan is seeking a Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will prepare all food items according to recipes and health standards, maintain cleanliness, stock, and follow FIFO. Weekend shifts required; afternoons/evenings; open hours 4pm-10pm weekdays, 12am weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum Knowledge: interpret/extract information and perform arithmetic functions; may require typing, record keeping, or word processing; good communication skills.
• Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Prior restaurant experience preferred.
• License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: ServSafe Food and Allergen Certification

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly, positive manner and connect with guests to make them feel welcome.
• Prepare all items according to recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
• Restock kitchen and rotate deliveries using FIFO.
• Notify Restaurant Lead of shortages or waste; ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions.
• Assist Restaurant Lead with security and safety in kitchen; set up and break down prep station.
• Requisition items to produce menu items and follow health regulations.
