Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory in The Woodlands, TX is seeking Prep Cooks to join our fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You’ll follow prep lists, read recipes, chop and prepare ingredients for hundreds of menu items, and work with ovens, fryers, grills and slicers.

We offer steady hours with part-time and full-time opportunities, competitive hourly wages of $13.50 to $17.75, benefits including paid vacation, medical coverage, free shift meals, and a 25% dining discount.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred.
• Able to read recipes and measure ingredients accurately.
• Must be at least 18 years old; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow a prep list and prepare ingredients with speed and accuracy.
• Read and follow recipes and portion ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, broilers, grills, and slicers.
• Label, date, and rotate inventory using FIFO.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Support a collaborative kitchen team.
