The Reef in Long Beach, CA is seeking a prep cook to assist the culinary team in preparing high-quality dishes in a timely and sanitary manner. You will follow recipes and standards to contribute to a memorable guest dining experience.

Key requirements include kitchen experience, knowledge of basic cooking techniques, and the ability to work in a busy environment with strong teamwork and communication. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as Prep Cook or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut, chop, slice ingredients for meals.
• Store items properly and prep ahead for service.
• Assist in stocking and setting up station.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen during shift.
• Rotate products to par and label with day dots.
• Work with Chef/Manager to sign off on prepared items.
