Job summary

King's Fish House is hiring a Prep Cook to support cooks and open managers, ensuring recipe adherence and sanitation in a fast-paced kitchen. You will be cross-trained in recipes and help set up each shift for success.

Hired teammates receive training on kitchen standards, quality components, and teamwork in a dynamic dining environment. This role is on-site with opportunities for growth and promotions from within.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• 1 year experience in a support/prep cook role.
• High school graduate.
• Food handlers Card.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate verbal and written English with Guests, management and co-workers.
• Ability to maintain knowledge of cooking techniques for menu items.
• Knowledge of preparation methods, ingredients, quality standards, appearance, texture, and temperature.
• Knowledge of proper maintenance and use of kitchen equipment.
• Ability to comprehend prep sheets.

Responsibilities

• Open and close duties as assigned.
• Prepare food items for meal periods and next service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned station.
• Prep food for scheduled meal periods.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions.
• Alert Chef or Sous Chef to any deficiencies.
• Notify management of shift activities.
