Job summary

PopStroke Holdings LLC is seeking a prep cook to support a high-volume kitchen. You will assist with ingredient prep, chopping, slicing, and marinating, help maintain line readiness, and work closely with chefs to turn every dish into a masterpiece. This role is non-exempt.

Based on on-site work in The Colony, TX, the pay range is $18-$24 per hour. You must be available weekends and holidays, follow safety procedures, help manage inventory, and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a prep cook in a high-volume environment.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of ingredients for cooking following recipes and portion guidelines.
• Follow portion control procedures to minimize waste.
• Organize and stock ingredients to ensure smooth workflow during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation according to food safety regulations.
• Follow proper food handling to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
• Assist with inventory by monitoring stock levels and noting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and workflow.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Dishwashing duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
